Honestly, I’m not really a dirt guy. Just never jived with me other than getting a cranked tube tone. But the Doom 2, especially after I got the Xero DLX, probably stays with me forever.

Moose Electronics kindly clearcoated my Chromatron to add a protective layer too.

Can confirm the glow in the dark - very cool. You defintely have to charge it with a flashlight or exposure to direct sunlight - ambient room light doesn't seem to have much of an effect.
Not sure if it’s quiet due to the new site messing with our notifications and/or saved threads… but the July 2024 email came yesterday with news of faceplate replacements! They look pretty rad and I’m slightly bummed to not be in the market. I for one am happy for Spencer to be catching up on the backlog of the missing graphics issue.
I also did this and have heard nothing so far. Given everything in this thread, I'm not surprised by that though. We'll see!

If you bought your pedal new from me, or one of the small number of dealers who sold them, I will send you a complimentary faceplate. You pay shipping. You have 22 days to redeem this offer.
Email [email protected] and write FACEPLATE REQUEST in the subject line. Include your shipping address in the email. Also let me know if you need a 1/16” hex bit to remove the knobs.
If you bought your pedal B-STOCK from me, you can request a faceplate. The price is $33.
If you bought your pedal used, or you just want a faceplate for some reason (they do look cool, and they fit any DOOM 2 / OCTABVRE MK3), you can get one in my SHOP after August 1.
These are first come first served. If they run out, I will release more in different color schemes."
