Same! I already have a D2 in cosmic purple, but this blue is very tempting…
The blue is nice...i'm tempted too. Logic is telling me i don't need another Doom2, but since when do we listen to logic
Still in stock. I don't think there there's the same pent up demand as there was for the Octabvre. I jumped on one though - love the Estoril Blue color.
EDIT: Just went out of stock as I typed this. Still 30+ minutes is a decent amount of time to grab one.

I need to do some more testing since I just got the Proton, but I was running Octavbre --> Doom 2 --> Proton.
What would be the benefit of having the envelope filter right after the octaver?
Question for Doom 2 owners. Does the blend pot go all the way to clean or is there always some level of fuzz?
On the older version? It goes all the way clean. The newer version (Doom 2) has separate volume controls for each channel.
I looked at that pre amp but bought the Jad Freer Capo instead - I may as well list the other pedals on my board for y'all:
Peterson mini> keely bassist> CAPO input / Hail Satan> tremond> CMC proto type2 xerograph delux. THEN 3leaf trinity > grape phaser > flashback >capo
post this make sense to me I may ditch the proto type.

The Doom 2 is a little less finicky than most fuzzes, but a fuzz by nature will kill some of the dynamics/resonance of the envelope filter. Putting the filter before the fuzz gives you more dynamics and resonance than going fuzz first.
It's ultimately up to the player - there's no right answer IMO, just different ways to do things, and what I prefer might not be what someone else prefers - the fun is in trying it all out!!!

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that a resonant filter of some sort after all of that will add a nice amount of resonance back into the sound.
Just listed my Octavbre mk 1 in the classifieds if anybody is interested. Very cool pedal, I just don’t use effects enough to justify keeping it around.
