3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

This latest drop is my second Doom2 pedal, and I think it's great but I seriously rarely use it. Makes me wonder if I am missing something with it, or it's just not a sound I use as often as I thought I would. Not sure if anyone else has gone through this thought process, but if you have Ill be interested in hearing what you ended up doing.
I go through the same thing. It gets a lot of use, then I barely use it. There are other drive/fuzz pedals that do a similar thing when paired with an octaver. However, it is very solidly made and does the thing that it does well once you figure out how to dial it in properly.
It’s great with a filter afterwards. Compared to every other fuzz I’ve tried for synth stuff this is the easiest to dial in and just does the trick. That said, it’s not the most versatile fuzz in the world and can make it easy to dismiss. Whenever boredom with it kicks in, put on your envelope filter, play through all your other fuzzes then play the D2 again. Then it all makes sense.
I wish the doom2 had a second foot switch to choose between modes or something Mike that, so we can get double whammy like with the Octavbre

When I want to play synth bass, it is my go to pedal, but I play synth bass like 5 % of the time.
My GR2 is still on my board - used it with the improv band I started playing with over the summer - tweaked it a little bit before we started playing - it's pretty subtle, I should maybe adjust the blend a little, but I like it.
I am considering putting my Proton back instead of the GR2 - the GR2 is easier for me to dial in, but would like the additional space I'd gain. Which makes me realize I haven't posted a pic, correcting that error now:
Chain is CAE/CAJ V-Comp into Strobostomp HD into MXR BOD into GR2 into Blumes into MXR chorus (set on flanger). Bass is Alembicized MIJ Fender Classic Series 70s P with Moses graphite neck - pic is from something else but this is what I'm using in the recording (minus the GK underneath - it's recorded direct in the recording) I have almost everything going in the previous clip I posted (minus the flanger)

Been out of the game for a minute and discovered the Octabvre mk3.33 is out. Whatre the updates? Had the MK3 but liked my mini/mkii better
New Octavbre looks pretty sweet. September 14th. Neon glow. 333 of them.
Gah! I've always wanted one of these, but 1) there are other things I want more, and 2) I am satisfied with my MXR BOD. So have at it people!
The distance between the MK3.33 and the mini/MKII is wider than that between the MK3 and mini/MKII. I like the MKII the most, but the MK3.33 is different enough that it's worth trying.

I didn’t mean we have tariffs in eu but due the situation eu has stopped shipping to us the last weeks. Indont know if they reverted that but knowing how the current leader reacts it would be no surprise to have a counter action to that soon. Probably very quick. It seems like the octabvre 3.33 is favorable to the previous versions and still relatively rare.
