3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

I just saw that Instagram clip this morning. Sounded pretty awesome. I really dig that kind of octave sound. It may take a lot for me to take an interest in the 3leaf one though. I have the OC2 and the Zoom 60b that cover those really dark synthy type sounds. Im anxious to hear more of what Spencer has in store for this one though.

The OC-2 is by far the oldest pedal on my board (like my vintage p-bass w/ flats, kind of a one-trick pony, but so classic and mainstay), but i've been looking for something with that, plus more versatility to get me even more Moog-ey/synthy fatness. I was eyeing the MXR, EHX, etc, but held off based on word in this thread that a 3leaf octaver was in the works. Based on that clip, it's been worth the wait!!!

I thought the upcoming 3Leaf octaver was supposed to include octave up functionality along with a dedicated footswitch?

There are two footswitches shown on the video he posted (which does work in Safari, btw), and the second one he depresses seems to activate an octave up function.

Not sure if Spencer's mentioned yet - will the new pedal be a limited edition only, or will it just be the rusty finish that's limited, followed by a regular edition?

I'm not sure whether the octave is a limited edition or not, but it's not what is going into the rusty box. The rusty box is definitely a limited edition, though, nobody knows what's going in it. My vote is a revamped PWNZ0R, but who knows.

Ah gotcha, thanks. Was thinking the octave was the new rusty box. Was wondering how he'd fit two switches in there though, and honestly if the octave's bigger then the Proton it'll be a deal breaker for me. Guess that it probably needs to be to fit two switches but I don't need octave up.

maybe spence is just waiting to see what people here say they are expecting from an octaver to get some ideas .....
so go ahead and throw your ideas... what should this octaver include
i would love for the second switch to be a "your doom" kind of fuzz to go with the octave ...
i love playing with the muted strings through YD ... get those moog sounds :)

Sorry to distract from the octave madness, but I just wanted to say that I got my Enabler back from Spencer for a power chip that fried itself.

He had it for a matter of hours before it was headed back to me (across the country) the day he received it! Working as good as new, and now I can play anywhere I can fit my bass!

Thank again, Spencer! Other builders, take note!
