4 String bridge for F#BEA

Not quite, but I play a bass tuned to G C F Bb Eb allmost exclusively with my current band. Close enough? :D

Kind of like my six-string Hipshot G/A D G C F Bb tuning as far as the low string is concerned. I did F# for a long time but found the Hipshot dropped E practically useless for double or triple stops, with a poorly defined tone. Once I took F#/E up to A/G I found I could use gauges that gave a little more spank - articulation to the attack. And the dropped G0 is actually tighter sounding than the F#0 was, so I use it a lot more.

ok .... well that leaves Jauqo and .....(crickets)......;)

Didn't read very far up above did you? ; } ... I gigged F#0 for a long time. For quite awhile I even gigged it on a BassLab L-Bow (fantastic low-tuning clarity and string voicing!) and a 39.5" Knuckle Quake (big manly authoritative tone that is surprisingly easy to play thanks to great balance and ergonomics). I'd love to get real gigging time in on a low-tuned Dingwall Six; so far I've only plunked on them with the strings detuned in a store setting but the 37" scale definitely brings more even tone to the low string.

I was being sarcastic.

I have a 6 string Dingwall Voodoo that I occasionally drop the B and E on and yes,it kills.

I also have a custom made Hipshot D-tuner( we might be calling it a double D-Tuner) That allows me to drop my E and A string at the same time with the flick of one lever.

Before I get shot I would like to disclosed that I am a Hipshot endorser.

Ah, well, I was quoting davec. I didn't even notice he'd said that until today.

I've thought about modding a Hipshot for my second lowest string so I could have access to another open low string without an obtrusive lever hanging up on the adjacent tuner. Just haven't gotten around to it. I guess I should contact Hipshot. Also would like to play with a reversed Hipshot on the high-pitched side. That's about as far as I could comfortably go into Manthing territory ; }

Have a merry xmas, Jauqo! - and everybody else here!
