Who here actually plays a bass tuned F# B E A live?
Not quite, but I play a bass tuned to G C F Bb Eb allmost exclusively with my current band. Close enough?

ok .... well that leaves Jauqo and .....(crickets)......![]()
Didn't read very far up above did you? ; } ... I gigged F#0 for a long time. For quite awhile I even gigged it on a BassLab L-Bow (fantastic low-tuning clarity and string voicing!) and a 39.5" Knuckle Quake (big manly authoritative tone that is surprisingly easy to play thanks to great balance and ergonomics). I'd love to get real gigging time in on a low-tuned Dingwall Six; so far I've only plunked on them with the strings detuned in a store setting but the 37" scale definitely brings more even tone to the low string.
I was being sarcastic.
I also have a custom made Hipshot D-tuner( we might be calling it a double D-Tuner) That allows me to drop my E and A string at the same time with the flick of one lever on a standard 4 string.
Have a merry xmas, Jauqo! - and everybody else here!
