$40 EBS FuzzMo...GET ONE!

I had ordered "The Drive" from this same sale, and got it last night. I like it through headphones, will find out in the next few days how it sounds through some speakers. Seems to sweeten the tone and for $40 is a good buy. I'm not that into fuzzes (have the EHX GR reissue) but need a new board to mount all these up. I don't think I can reconfigure my Metro20 again. The Drive into my Darglass Vintage Deluxe is pretty pretty good.

My FuzzMo shipped a few days ago but the tracking says it won't arrive until the 27th (eleven more days!). Has anyone else had ProAudioStar orders take 2 weeks to get to them? That seems really slow, especially since its only crossing 4 or 5 states to get here.

Tried out my new FuzzMo last night - it is def worth $40! I have a DG Alpha Omnicron, and it doesn't sound that that at all.

Once good sound I got out of it was go first thru a sub&up, then the Fuzzmo with the shape and gain cranked almost all the way up, then thru a envelope filter - very cool synthy sounding.

What I heard playing with the pedal wasn't how it was described tho - to me there is a first gain stage, then it goes into the shape distortion, and the blend blends between those 2 sounds.

It may not be the first choice as a primary distortion, but it def has a good unique sound that works well.

Are you running yours into the omnicron ?

I just got mine and gave it a whirl, so far it's pretty damn impressive for $40. It's a very quiet pedal; with the volume dimed and blend at noon I'm getting unity gain on the clean side. The distorted side is very thin sounding by itself, it's very clearly intended to be used with a clean signal and not by itself. The sound is good; despite it being a bit heavy and fuzzy I'm considering using it as my main OD pedal since the volume and tone of it sit really, really nicely alongside a nice clean(ish) tone.

Edit: Never mind about it being quiet, user error there. Nothing to see here, kids!

Weird. Ordered mine in the 5th and got it the 10th.

Free shipping isn't always fast. Mine was a week and a half. The post office got it to me before the original tracking estimate though. I'm sure Thanksgiving isn't helping.

I ordered mine the day this thread was posted which is November 4th, and I got it yesterday. So, 12 days.

That's really weird! Mine gets unity clean with the clean volume (far right knob) at noon, and I only have to turn the fuzz level up to like 10:00 to get close to too-much-fuzz on balance.

Yeah, aaaaand it's weird because I'm a dumbass and had my power supply wired up wrong! So yeah, it's still not the loudest pedal I've ever used but it is in fact plenty loud. And still sounds pretty damn good.

Well I ordered one today myself .One thing that caught my attention mmbongo is that I have owned damn near every OD pedal that u named off, and out of all those pedals, I too kept my SGFX Beta My question is do they sound good together or do u just keep one on as a boost with no gain, or have u tried it to where it gets a managable nasty ass sound?

Got mine on monday, used it at band practice today and it absolutely kills in a loud band mix. For the loud stoner metal that I play it's perfect. Using it with a Washburn Scavenger into an SVT-2PRO and SWR Goliath Sr 610, up against a JCM800 half stack being blasted by a Pharoh fuzz. It sits perfectly in the mix, it cuts, but not at the expense of low end girth and ball-punching volume.

The YouTube demos don't do it justice and it sounds weird on its own, also it's not going to be the best choice for every style of music, but for any kind of aggressive or loud or heavy music I think it's a great choice.

It can definitely do manageable nasty ass really well.

Really shouldn't have But for $40.00 I HAD TO!! Best I can tell you after playing with the FUZZMO is that it is VERY MUCH like my MXR EL GRANDE. It IS a little bit MORE controllable than my El Grande ( which IS a GOOD thing ) however it just seems to lack that "little Bite" that the MXR has. It is WELL WORTH the$40.00 price But it IS kind of a 'One Trick Pony' but VERY CLOSE to the MXR El Grande in delivery!

Sweet! I traded my el grande a few years back and regret it! The fuzz mo should be here any day

And I know

The el grande was really hard to “tame”

This pedal is very controllable and very versatile. Can get a nice fat warm touch sensitive light grind to all out Fuzz Buzz. Playing with different settings I was able to get a very synthy sound out of it. For 40.00 could not really go wrong but this one is actually pretty useful and sounds good at all the settings I tried it with and I spent a couple of hours with it.
