Hmmm.... someone said this thing can do low gain overdriven sounds.... uh no. Can’t believe I went for it. At lowest gain setting, passive p bass, it’s making chain saw noises. Oh well. Seems like a decent fuzz if I should need one of those.

The gain does have an effect on mine, but it goes from distortion to fuzz.... no OD. Bypass is weird, output is very low. Not true bypass. I disliked the unit so much that I only played with it for about 5 minutes. Yeah might be a bad unit.Mine's not like that. I get a smooth fade in of the fuzz effect as I turn the gain up. Does your gain knob have any effect at all? If not, maybe its broken.
I'm actually wondering if the blend knob is broken on mine, as that one doesn't seem to do anything when I turn it.
EDIT: I just went and worked the blend knob back and forth a few times and oddly now it seems to be having an effect. I have no idea why.

Blend knob is literally just the volume of the clean signal. Volume knob is volume of the dirt signal. Two separate volumes instead of one blend pot, but they chose to name them badly. The 'blend' is not a standard blend between the pedal and your clean tone. I forget what it does exactly, but it's not that. I think it blends the 'shape' and the 'gain' or something like that.

Sure thing! And for my passive P at least, unity clean is at noon on the Blend knob. I'm only running about 9:00 on the fuzz volume, too, and it's great. Thanks for clarifying. That will help understand how the pedal works!
