$40 EBS FuzzMo...GET ONE!

I've bought from PAS before; they're in my home state so stuff gets here pretty fast once they send it... and my $40 FuzzMo just came in. Just in my living room right out of the box, I really like this thing!!

It's a solid fuzz with simple controls and a straightforward sound palette. Smooth grain to it, no matter if you have it set to be brighter, darker, coarser or tighter between the shape and mids settings. It's not wild and out there, just sounds like a good serviceable fuzz tone - can get heavy and slightly synthy, too. Looks like a snoozer in a world where bright pink pedals and names like Assmaster and Unicorn Blood abound, but some people like that - and one can always rehouse or repaint, eh? =0)

With the gain at zero, is the sound pretty “organic”? The demo I watched sounded pretty nice in low gain mode

I think so - it's very subtle, maybe because I'm running a passive bass, but it reminds me of *juuuuust* getting into breakup with the drive knob on a sansamp bass driver. Beyond that the two dirt sounds are very different, of course, but that very lowest gain setting on the EBS has that feeling, at least in my rig. Might be tempted to get a second one! One for FuzzMO and one for FuzzLESS. =0)

While I do wish it had some quirky personality like my Assmaster does, for like 1/6th the brand-new price (or 1/5 the used) I ain't complaining on the EBS too hard =0)
