Everybody should have one of these. Despite it saying 'ultra high gain distortion' right on the pedal, imagine my shock when I found the best low gain pedal I've ever used. This pedal adds a layer of thick fatness that just makes things so thick and creamy. It's honestly the type of pedal I always wanted the SFT, Pork Loin, Barbershop, Blueberry, Beta..etc to be. It's probably closest to the SolidGold Beta, but with a blend.

Now all of this is with the gain all the way down and the 'shape' fully round so it will do a lot more. I can see this thick juiciness being my always on tone, or at least on most of the time, in my classic rock cover band. If you slap and pop, this is NOT for you!

I am so burnt out on comparing different fuzzes right now, but at 40 bucks i'll try it for sure. I love finding a good pedal for peanuts.

Do you think this one will fall into the possible 'EBS pedals may deteriorate over time' thing (mentioned on bongomania's compressor review site) or is that assessment outdated, ya think?

I hope they fixed that issue. I had forgotten about it, but I think it was mostly with their older pedals. I've got an oldMultiComp (pre-true bypass) in the back of my junk drawer that I bought from somebody because the compressor part no longer works. But it's a fine clean boost, and the voicings still work!

I recently sold a multicomp that worked perfectly for me, but by the time the new owner got to putting it throught its paces, the indicator LED had stopped working. That's the only bad thing I've ever had with EBS pedals but I haven't had them for extreme lengths of time. Love their sounds though.

The EBS website says these things are out of production. So I just nabbed one.
The dude from black cherry seems to like them as he says...

"The EBS FuzzMo is the nastiest monster you'll find while maintaining a solid, natural bass sound. Nothing else can touch it."

Killer deal. I really dig some of the sounds in that GI demo, but those last two demos leave something to be desired. When you hear him switch from scoop to flat it’s a massive difference. The flat sounds seem most useful...

Just a tip....there's an el cheapo battery inside, so if you're ordering one, make sure to take out that battery before putting it on your board.

As far as 'why so cheap?' I'd say because it's no longer being made and is on clearance. In fact that place has quite a few EBS pedals on clearance.

Did you have one, or are you judging by the YouTube videos?
Just the youtube videos. To me it seems like it would get totally buried in the mix. I heard nothing in any of those videos that would personally convince me to buy, and believe me, I wanted to spend the money. $40 is very tempting for an EBS no matter what, but I'm trying to control myself these days.

Ugh, why you gotta really test me and my GAS?

Although, I have to say it is a LOT easier to not drop the $40 on the fuzzmo when I see another handful of EBS fuzzes at $40 as well, since it is hard to pass up one $40 deal, but several seems easier for some reason.

That said, I'm literally sitting on my hands to not drop $15 for a compressor (Invalid Link Removed) - $40 aint much to part with, but for $15 I can skip a lunch and pay for that.
