Actually, I did a shootout of major-brand 4x10 cabinets (incl. SWR, Aguilar, Eden, Ampeg) awhile back, and was very surprised at the punchiness of the Genz Benz.

They've been described as sounding muscular & punchy with growly mids and a tight bottom. The cost of buying any of the line is very reasonable also. I've got three, two 112s and a 410.

I voted for the Ampeg SVT. It's the industry standard for Hard Rock/Metal. Great punch and crunch, even has a tweeter (if you need it, [note: not reccomended with a distorted tone]) for clarity.

Alright, im really thinking EDEN now, are they THAT much better? amd worth sacrifising the dollars for? I need info, will they get through a really heavy Metal Mix?

Yes Edens are "That Much Better!" They are kick severe a**. I have 3 cabs a 410XST, 210XLT(Which is for sale over in the For Sale section) and a D-115. I'm an Eden convert for life. I never ever had so many compliments on my sound from musicians and non-musicians alike since I switch over to Eden gear.

alright im really thinking of going with the Eden, so tommorow im going to try one out, does a yamaha sound like a p bass, cause i want bassically the same bass sound

Eden sounds like a p-bass

It depends...Are you going for 410XLT or 410XST ?
Although the XST has my vote...for some hard rockin, you should also try Ampeg.

Dude i tried the XLT and i was blown away, i got to use a mesa walkabout head, A Ric, and a MIM jazz, and anyway you sliced it, god that thing could cut through this little punk playing system of a down on guitar over and over again in the wrong key and LOUD!!!! god, with the RIc, i could grind, slice and punch through any mix on this planet!! The MIM jazz is really small to me so i had trouble slapping...but i walked out with some strap lock and am especially proud of myself for installing them without a scratch...any way, i'lll be looking for a used one cause i am still blown away......

Personally I would opt for the SVT 2-PRO, all valve head. A bit of $$$ to fork over but well worth it for the tone you will achieve from all of those tubes

I just got a Flite sealed 4x10 cab. It acts like the Ampeg we all know, but 1/2 the size and weighs only 40 lbs- it has 1 handle on top! It's super punchy and is doing a wonderful thing combined with my EAW 1x15 cab. I got the thunder with this mach-up: Bloom on the bottom, thrust and punch on the top. The Flite handles 500 watts, I think, and is 8 ohms. 4 Eminence speakers- it punches through just fine. Very satisfying sensation for any bass junky. I'm pushing it with a Trace head lined out to a Crest FA-901 poweramp. Fender Jazz w/ EMG's starts off the chain.
It's all about context.
