Hey Munj,

Sell the two you don't like as much and get that new TecAmp Puma900. You will then have the waterfront covered completely!

Also, the new Glockenklang Blue Soul is a pretty good way to get the tone of your HeartRock and much of the volume/fatness in a much smaller lighter unit. Glenn at Austin Bass Traders carries both of these amps. A bit pricey, but worth it (especiall that Puma900!).

Munji,

I was hoping that the TH500 would come out on top since I'm an aggie fan. Are you going to post some clips or a short review? I just sold off my LMIII and I'm already jonesing for a micro again.

Also, this is a perhaps a dumb question, but I've seen a few people using JimmyM's avatar ( I've just associated it with Jimmy for so long). Is this some sign of solidarity for something? Curious about it is all.

Peace,
Derrick

Ps. I always get a pint of Rogue Hazelnut Brown when I gig downtown... mmm yum!

The order of my choices is based solely on my personal taste. For many, I'm sure the TH500 would come out on top. In fact, the RH750 would come out on top for people who like a tube-amp sound. Don't let my preferences deter you. The only way to tell for yourself is to play them. The TH500 is a great-sounding amp for sure. That's why I bought it.

Yes, the Jimmy avatar is in solidarity, even though we hate each other.

Munji, when you said AG500 you were talking about the TH500 right?

I agree with you that most of it boils down to subjectivity of taste. For my dough I like something simple and built like a tank.

That's why I may lean towards the TH500. I also really like the sonic footprint of my DB750 and I hear the TH500 comes close in that department.

I had one of those Eden's I think the model was a WTX 260. Not a bad sound. Kind of tube-like but sounded compressed somehow, not open and breathy. It was also pretty weak and would clip out trying to drive my D10BXD cab for gigs so I parted with it.

Perhaps it's not an even comparison with the MB800 having more watts listed, but can you tell which one in the group you have there seems to have the most raw power and headroom? Still subjective I know, but it's always good to hear opinions.

Although I miss the sparkly eyed redneck avatar, I'm chuckling that you have Devo Jimmy :) It's like snatching the other team's mascot :)
Well done!
