Most of the ones that came to mind for me were already mentioned...
I would also recommend listening to older stuff by Staind. Also, Tobin Esperance from Papa Roach did some nice work on the Infest CD. John Paul Jones used a 5 string on his solo CD. Also check out stuff by Mike Inez with AIC and Ozzy. Sean Anderson of Finger Eleven also uses a 5-string. Pick up "The Greyest Of Blue Skies" and listen to the song "Bones & Joints" for some nice deep 5-string work. Last but not least, check out Thornley.

I didn't see anyone mention Stefan Lessard. He is a very fine 5 string player and probably the main reason I listen to DMB.
Pick up a copy of "Eryka Badu-Live." Tasteful, funky five-string bass defined. I forget the bassist's name, but he kills.
You should check out Evergrey. They have a great bassist named Mikael Håkansson who plays Spector 5-string basses. The song "Mark Of The Triangle" is a really good song to learn. A great player whos does an exellent job in a very guitar oriented band.

Damn straight! I got heir new Live DVD a couple days ago an it is very, very good. The bass is lacking some defenition but other than that the DVD is exellent.
Luckally his playing makes up for the leather-skirt he wears on stage.
