5 string bassists that are good?

Most of the ones that came to mind for me were already mentioned...

I would also recommend listening to older stuff by Staind. Also, Tobin Esperance from Papa Roach did some nice work on the Infest CD. John Paul Jones used a 5 string on his solo CD. Also check out stuff by Mike Inez with AIC and Ozzy. Sean Anderson of Finger Eleven also uses a 5-string. Pick up "The Greyest Of Blue Skies" and listen to the song "Bones & Joints" for some nice deep 5-string work. Last but not least, check out Thornley.

Myung uses a 6. Jeordie White uses a 4.

Dirk Lance from Incubus has had some cool lines on Science and on "Are You In" from Morning View. Though I dislike Phish, Mike Gordon is very talented also. Fred Hammond plays a Smith five I believe, but I don't listen to much gospel so I really don't know.

Juneau: He has also used a MTD535 in the past.

I searched this thread just to make sure somebody mentioned Mr. Gordon - hey at least your honest abark! Nobody mentioned Kai Eckhardt and he absolutely kills on that Hotwire Big Apple 5.
