Lakland comes to mind.....but who else? anyone?
Sadowsky and Lull. Depending on how exactly you want it to be a "P", I'd probably include the Yamaha BBs in there, too.
Shecter and MTD on the lower priced side. Nordy, Sadowsky and Aleva Coppola on the higher priced side. Yamaha makes a PJ.
There is soon to be a Dingwall
The MTD CRB5 is nice. The looks are either love or hate though...I personally like mine but then again I took off the ugly PG
I think the CRB 5 is a great deal.
I have to agree. Plays great. Feels great. Sounds great. and affordable on top of that!!!!
lakland 55-64, us or skyline
A price point would help, but I agree with the above post by thombo.
Yeah, I think I'd go the Sadowsky route....
HMM I feel a new bass coming on....
Get a Warwick Corvette...every tone you can imagine and very affordable. Not the Korean new ones though...the German ones pre-2010.
The Nordy one piece Maple neck P5's are just fantastic. Just something about Carey's one piece Maple necks that make the bass sing....and sing, and sing. Fit and finish is as good as it gets. Nordstrand....mmmm
Emg makes a p/j in the 40 size case, so you can make anything pretty much a p/j, p/p or just a p if you want.
Doesn't G & L make a 5 string?
Schecter's got a Model T 5-er with a J-humbucker out at the moment.
