6 string set for a 35" bass.

Hi!

I've just purchased a 6 string bass and I want to replace the "no-brand" strings that feel little less than horrible.

I've seen lots of brands, sets, etc. but I fear that they could be too short for my 35" scale. Can you please tell me sets that fits this scale? I prefer nickel with no silk at the ends if possible.

You could try DR Sunbeams. The Hibeam set i use is long enough for a 35".

I've got MTD Nickels strung through body on my 35" sixer. Wonderful, wonderful tone and feel.

DR Nickle Lowriders are another option. I've used em on 35" scale 6er's before and they fit just fine.

Fodera strings are great if you can get them to send you some. Also check out Curt Mangan strings.

Any DR string will fit a 35" bass through the bridge.

GHS Boomers will, too, though they have silk on the tuner end.

I use Fender Super Bass Nickelplated Steel Roundwound strings on my Peavey Axcelerator. They are long enough to accomodate the 35" scale.

Try the Ken Smith Burners... I like them and they seem to be lasting a long time!

If you don't want the silk, get some DR's. They fit up to 37 scale
