7 string bass is finished...

Fantastic bass! A work of art and an excellent choice of pickups!

Tell me, why did you choose to have two 'two way' switches for each pickup, when a single three way on/on/on could have given you series/single/parallel configurations? Can you choose between which single coil with this config?

The preamp "blend" isolates either pickup at 100% to a 50%-50% bridge/neck.

As far as fanned fret... this is my only ff bass experience, and it is awesome. I totally refute any person claiming ff as difficult to play. Fretting chords and arpeggios is waaayy easier than an even scale bass. :)

For give my ignorance, but who is Jeff? I'm guessing the builder, but Jeff who?

Interesting bass. I'm jealous. Lots of useful switches there for producting all kinds of tones. :D

The builder is Jeff Head in Georgia ' he is also building a custom 4 string and almost done with my Daughters "Dragon Bass.".........here is a link to his site. Link Removed :) We love his work and are looking forward to receiving it later this month..

Looks spaceship to me :)
Two-wood fretboards really makes me GASsing.
Always wondered: Do you able to play a low B at the 5th--9th frets? Big hands needed i believe
To answer that question, pick up a bass and try reaching above the lowest string. You'll see that you can actually stretch up to twice the width of the fretboard or more. Hence, hitting the low B should be quite easy, especially as it's not the lowest string. That would be the F#.

Killer bass man, versatility at its finest.

Higher F above G? That wouldn't make too much sense.
From low to high, it is most likely tuned: F#, B (like the low B on a five string), E (standard low E), A, D, G, and then either a high B to be tuned like a guitar or a high C to keep all strings in perfect fourths.
