Yes, buy it! I picked up an MIJ '92 SR895 this past spring and it is a great bass! If the bass you are looking at is anything like mine, then you will be quite happy with it!

I have one. Great neck , not too heavy and they sound pretty good. Don’t think you can go wrong at that price.

I’m very familiar with Ibanez Soundgear basses from that era. I have owned 4 made in the mid 90’s and still own 2 of them. 1 was a 95’ SR 800 in metallic blue. I sold it to one of my youth kids at church who wanted to learn how to play bass. I sold it to him in 1996 or 1997. He still owns it and plays it daily. It is bone stock. Same with the 2 that I still own.

Those basses are great basses and are bullet proof. If the seller is asking $300.00, I would jump all over that deal. That bass sold brand new for $799.99 and is worth more than he is willing to let it go for. I say buy it. You will love the bass and will not regret the purchase.

so i was saying... mij SR800 are not hard to find for less than $300. all the guitar center ones listed below are on the site today. and there are some for sale here on talkbass too.
