8ohms from 2 8ohm drivers

I know that much, I feel like I can do it with resistors in place of drivers, but I'm having trouble finding out exactly what kind of resistor.

I considered using drivers with the motors removed as resistors, I don't know what affect that would have.

You'd need big resistors (wattage to match the output or your amp) that would just produce heat.
Also the rating of a speaker is ohms of IMPEDANCE which is not the same as RESISTANCE. DC resistance is only one of the three parts that make up AC impedance.

If you really want an 8 ohm 210 i see you have 3 options...

1) find an 8 ohm 210 you like and buy it.
2) buy 2 x 4 ohm 10's and wire them in series in your existing cab
3) buy 2 x 16 ohm 10's and wire them in parallel in your existing cab

Option 1 is a sure bet to get something you like. Options 2 or 3 would require some decent research first and may have epic results or average results depending upon how well you do your research...

I have a 410 4ohm, and a 210 4ohm ...

... this may be an oversimplification, but 'which of these two cabinets do you like better?' ...because by the specs quoted, each of these cabinets is sufficient to handle OP's head alone (SWR in profile? 350 watts at 4 ohms, 400 at 2.67, and 450 at 2ohms) ...

.. if the 410 is preferred over the 210, why go through all this trouble to introduce a 'less desireable' cab, just use the 410 alone ...

... if the 210 is preferred over 410, and more speaker surface than just the 2- 10's is desired, dump the 410 and add another matching 4 ohm 210 since the head is 2 ohm capable ...

... keep it simple ...

Bump.

DON'T use a resistor in series with a woofer (or driver that will be used around the resonance frequency), it will completely change the TSP's of that driver.
There's a reason why you want an inductor(lowpass), in series with a woofer, to have a resistance as low as possible.
The resistance of that inductor should not be higher then 10% of the Re else the Qes will change to much.
So if you would put an 6.8ohms resistor in series with an 8ohm(nominal impedance) woofer the Qes will increase by a huge amount and the whole tuning of the cabinet will be completely OFF.
