"_______ doesn't get enough love around here!"

Sharay Reed

Joe Lester of Intronaut

+1 Pete Trewavas of Marillion and Transatlantic

And a big +1 to Dominic 'Forest' Lapointe for this amazing left-handed fretless 6-string wizardry!

He's now leading Teramobil.

Leon Wilkeson!!! He played just what Skynyrd needed and can still be heard though 3 guitars and a piano. I think some of his best work was on the song that smell. Its not too flashy but he has said he didn't want to be!

The (latter day) Byrds... The New Riders Of The Purple Sage...The Flying Burito Brothers...
He certainly made a BIG impression on me!
Skip Battin shaped country rock music...taking and stretching the bass lines that Merle and George and Ferlin had counted on for the decade before The Eagles made their debut.
I guess I heard him at JUST the right time...

Seconding Armand Sabal -Lecco, Nathan Watts and Neil Jason. Also
Deon Estus - for his stuff with Wham
Joe Dworniak - mostly 80s session work in the UK
Brad Lang -ABC's Lexicon of Love
Michael Dempsey - The Cure's original bassist but it's his playing on Sulk by The Associates that does it for me

please excuse the appearance of Jimmy Savile on this clip
