I respect your passion for the genre, but it doesn't appeal as much to me as it used to. Someone can pass judgement without the youtube equivalent of taking the ring to Mordor, they don't need your permission or your judgement to show them the way. There are fantastic musicians in the genre, as much as there are in every genre of music: but some of them hide behind technical brilliance, because they know the essential truth of art: that some snotty teenager will walk up with a broken guitar, hit a chord and it will blow the whole world away.

The sad part is some little 14 year old somewhere thinks that's awesome and wants to sound just like it.
Truly hilarious and/or tragic that there are some posters in this thread who seem to maintain that you have to have a certain level of "knowledge" about the genre/s before you can express an opinion on the performance in the clip!!
A bit like watching a fatal train wreck IMHO (whether you agree with it or not!!
) but at least we can all rest easy in the knowledge that each and every "musician" involved in the clip WILL "grow out of it" eventually.

That's not what I meant, at all. It is symbolism or allegory, but all of the prowess and technical ability is wasted if it doesn't move the listener. Great music is helped by technical and theory knowledge, but it isn't solely made by it

People also reacted with derision to groups like Air Supply, the Beastie Boys, the Swinging Blue Jeans, the Knack, the Starland Vocal Band, Debbie Boone, The Fixx , etc etc etc
they turned out to be nothing but a blip on the radar.
These groups you're touting won't even reach the levels of popularlity that THOSE groups did, let alone the Beatles!

there from my local area and they just started playing shows and stuff, i must say they had the worst fat frontman but they got a new one that is way better at screaming.. but yo ive heard there stuff at some local shows and it gets sicker everytime. keep supporting nigs, as faith stands before me is playing with EMMURE soon OH YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT.. there new band name is ADAMINA so there new link is Link Removed

wow..just wow. and they really think there the **** too. kids need some help on that there gutterals and screaming. my dog made that sound when he got hit by a truck 
My students love that stuff. They call it Screamo. The noise that guy was making was a pig squeal. They seem to like that as well..

Reminds me of this show I saw one time where the opening band's "singer" was also the "bass player" and it seemed like he just either held the mic with his left hand and picked some random string on his bass, or stuck the mic in his mouth (hope they don't play a venue with grounding issues) while picking some random string.
Anyway once you get past the... pig squeeler, it's not too bad... well once you get past the okay drummer, the bassist who's hands don't move, and all the beginner gear.

Painful to hear, yes. But those kids were young and let's give them some credit for taking up something that we all love (music). Those with the desire will get better, those that don't will self select out of the music business.
