A DIY Line Mixer/Crossover/EQ/High Pass Filter

I'll likely pull the trigger on one of these in the next week or two - balanced in, unbalanced in, 4 balanced outs. Potential 4 way configuration.

Pretty damn cool on spec.

Are you coming to the Seattle GTG Skip? I'll probably be bringing mine up there. I've been using it with my tube line driver lately -- the two work really well together.

I've got an unbalanced minidsp wedged in my rack. I love it, especially the size. The only other products I could find that would fit my need were going to take up an entire rack space.

I bought another one. I decided to go balanced this time. The unbalanced box was working perfectly, but I decided to go with the balanced box for the more PA friendly output voltage. 2Vrms vs .9Vrms

These guys are great to deal with. 7 day turn around from order to delivery even over the Christmas holiday. Went to radio shack and grabbed project box and a 12V Power supply. Ordered some TRS connectors and some balanced rack install cable and the rack is back in business.

Could you set up a low pass/high pass network running in parallel with a dry signal with variable shelving points on one of these units? I'm scouring the wobsite right now, but not having much luck.

I looked into one of these pretty extensively for a while, and I think you could do everything you wanted, but you wouldn't be able to adjust the shelving real time unless it was being controlled by a computer, and then you would either have to run the computer, or play your instrument. They are super great for set and forget routing options, but not so much for on the fly changes, IIRC.

I think you would want to use the stereo 2 way crossover, bypassing all the dsp on either the R or L channel to achieve the dry, then using an external mixer or a bunch of amps.
