A few questions about the control cavity

I have reached the point on my first build, a Walnut P/J bass, where I need the route the control cavity in the back of the body.
How deep should I route the cavity?
I am using 250K pots from Stewmac, What size hole do i need to drill in the front of the body for them?
What size hole do I need to drill for the jack?
When I run a ground wire to the bridge, do I attach it to the bridge from underneath at all?

its not so much how deep; as how much should be left for the pots to go thru;
my rule of thumb has been 4-5mm so however you mount the electronics recessed or whatever; the washer and nut has 4-5mm of wood between it and the pot

Leave 1/4" of top for the pots to mount to, seeing as we don't know how thick the body is, 1/4" is a good rule of thumb, you can always remove a touch more if needed.

Holes for pots will be 5/16" or 3/8" depending on the threaded portion, before finish.

For your Jack, if it's an open Jack, 7/8" to 1 1/16". Depending on make.

For flush mount 1/2" and )ou can recess the collar with a 5/8" counter bore that is 1/16" deep then 1/2" for the rest.
