So i just scored a pre EB stingray on craigslist for an insane deal. like crazy deal....

I bought it with the intention of selling it again but I cant put this thing down. Its one of the best things I have ever played.

I dont think i wanna sell it at all now. looks like im gonna have to dump some other stuff to pay for this.

anyway, jan 1983 cherry sunburst musicman stingray, all original, condition is an 8 out of 10.

there are some little dings but its pretty much awesome for almost 30 years.

:hyper:

i took some iPhone pics but they dont do it justice so im gonna break out the real digi tonight.

Question for Pre EB stingray gurus:

The neck has no date and only has some initials and the body is dated 1-13-83

Is it common for a neck to have no date?

Congrats! I love the necks on this era preEB Musicmans because they are thin (front-to-back) with very rounded fingerboard edges. Just absolutely comfortable. The feel just puts most modern bass necks to shame, real craftsmanship there.

Yup, it is common for no neck stamp on that era.
