Matching amp/cabs is nice… as is "any colour is available as long as it is black."Yeah that one evokes my gag reflex too, but that's just my own personal OCD issue.
Really cramps your style if you have an old Acoustic, Sunn, or Marshall head without the matching cabinets.
At some point everybody seemed to line up on the "all bass cabinets should be 24 inches wide" bandwagon, which I guess let you use a rackmount head/rig and still have a little space on either side.

thus my love of the aesthetics of orange… and vox with their diamond pattern grills.
Another ocd thing that gets me is when the thickness of the plywood on the side of the cabs is not the same as the amp. And stacked cabs that are not the same width.
finally, class d amps are amazing… but big old tube amps on a matching cab cant be beat visually imho. Thus my liking the milkman tube/class d head.
