This is a pair of GK Neo 112-II cabs stacked vertically, of course. It's nice that their rectangular shape lets you get a four foot stack out of the pair of them oriented like this. And of course there's that distinctive silver grate. (I have had many amp heads on top of it: GK, Ampeg, others. The one pictured is gone, replaced currently with a TC Electronic BH550.)
Enjoy that VT-500! Looks like Tech21 has gotten out of the amplifier business. Personally, I thought it was the most serious head-to-head competitor for the Aguilar TH-500, and a criminally-underrated head in its' own right!

I picked up one of those last August. It does the VT Bass thing really well. But, like with some other Sansamp-brand products, I fought with it to get out of that zone. I finally flipped it a month ago or so. It's just perfect for someone, but that someone wasn't me. So right now I'm running a pretty clean and transparent TCE BH550 with a Sansamp YYZ in front of it. That's working out well so far.
Haha, It just looks that way, have a few other colors in the mix as well.

I love this head, really easy to get great sound from it.
I have a Hartke TX600 that I acquired from a friend, and head to head, the TECH21 comes out on top.
I usually like to be a little different, so after a great write up in Bassplayer Magazine, I was sold.
Didn’t break the bank either.
So glad I grabbed one before it was discontinued.
