Hey there, just got a set of ooooold EMG P bass pups with the stack pot EQ and I noticed a little metal tab loose on the bottom of the pot. Has this broken from (I'm assuming) the ground buss on the pre or just some left over junk from or lis owner.

Your photo is a bit blurry and hard to see what you are talkin about. Perhaps a clear shot of the bottom of the pots

Ok, do you see a piece of metal on the board that it broke away from. If not it is of no value.
Not really all that clear in the photos, but it looks like a 'locating' tab on the washer to keep it from spinning.

Little to worry about then. Remove it and insure there is an internal star lock washer on it and re install
Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated. This pre does not look like the new clip on pre's, so I was not entirely sure if this was some type of grounding lug to the pot or just some left over junk.
