I'm giving a lefty Roscoe a try! It seems like the kind of thing that I should always have one or two in stock... time will tell if that's a good call. Tell your lefty friends!
Isn't this top lovely? I love the look of Cocobolo, I need to order more of that...

Here's a right-handed 5-string version of Jimmy Haslip's famous Roscoe. Same woods, same colors, same pickup slant (reversed relative to the usual LG slant), and volume/volume instead of volume/blend. Very cool!!

Oh man is that pretty! Is it just me or does the reverse slant on the pickups make the contour lines of the LG look better? Something just flows more naturally with that bass. It's just you ...... and Ken!
I'm sure I'm just use to seeing it the standard way.
I like 'em both though.
+1 Also, IMO, makes much more sense sonically to me.

Yeah, I would think so too. Give you a nice tight low B and E with the pickup so close to the bridge and fatten up the higher strings a bit. I tend to pluck closer to the bridge on lower string but play the upper strings in the "sweet spot" so this makes sense to me.
Guess it all depends on the sound/tone you're looking for. For the last couple of years I've been playing mostly orchestration lines, which means I spend the majority of my time on the 'A' string or below.
So for me the 'forward' slant was an advantage. It depends on what you're after.
My LG’s have a nice balanced sound across all strings. I’d be a bit hesitate to go with the reverse slant that might have a tendency to emphasize the B and the E more. I’d have to say that if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.
