Hmmm... I found it rather forward, almost rude to be talking to complete stranger in that fashion. "An alliance?" I don't think thats what he really wants at all. Also, not a native English speaker, but has a fair amount of education.

Has an almost "spam" flavor to it.. shotgun approach ;)

He should have just said...

OK, I'm giving 8:1 odds that if she had responded, it would have taken less than three E-mails before he was asking for money for something (and I mean that in the Internet-scam sense of "something")...

Or, asking her to fly to the Philipines, where she would have been kidnaped and sold into white slavery (can you sell a Korean into white slavery? Oh, well, you know what I mean).

I wouldn't trust the guy as far as I could throw him, sending a ridiculous note like that. Especially one that claims he's seen pictures of you (unless you sent them) and thinks the Bay Area is in Illinois...
