Chandler Tom Petersson signature bass. Three pickups, sort of a Les Paul shape, red, and a very large price tag. Can't tell if the hardware's gold, tho.

Gold plate is not solid gold. I wouldn't even quote a purity for plating.

24 karat tuning pegs? It has $4400 USD sitting on the head then. Buy it for 2K USD and melt it.

yeah he never said solid gold, just gold plated

but i was thinking not gold at all, brass or something? both my guitar and my bass have gold-coloured hardware, but i don't think it's actual gold?

Sounds like the extremely rare Conundrum(tm) bass. I've seen them go for as little as 2 pesos and as much as 10,000,000 krona.

Only 3.1415 were ever made.
