A thread for with which to vent.

I was on the road today, a 5 lane road, where the center lane is for turning.
I was about to turn left, so got into the center lane, but came head to head with another vehicle.
This happens a lot at this location, but usually the other person is turning at the same spot, but to the opposite side.
In this case, the other driver was not, and was visibly pissed off as they made their way around me.
After passing, back into the center lane & continued on there for about 30 more yards. What an idiot, occupying the center lane WELL before it was time to turn.

-Physics has revealed some very compelling evidence that would seem to indicate that two objects can not occupy the same space at the same time. So, uh, get a clue. Stop f**king honking at me like a maniac and fall back in line dip-s**t.

Next time, make a move and get in the lane sooner.

Better yet, why don't you take your, gonna save the planet hybrid and weak ass little horn and take a long drive off a short pier. Oh, and don't forget your phone so you can periscope the pathetic last moments of existence among the conscious populous. Your no better than any other Oxygen soaked flesh sack roaming this planet. Go f**k yourself.

This is not directed at cyclists or hybrid owners in general. It is focused squarely on these two clueless morons.

I ride and I drive an economic low impact vehicle (not a hybrid) myself.

Riding a bicycle on the sidewalk is illegal in most areas, you're the moron.

Slow down there speedy. Assume much? Who said they had to ride on the walkway? All I said was "use it". Since you clearly understand this situation and the law in "most areas" there is no point debating this with you.

If someone wants to ride in rush hour traffic by all means be my guest but I will have zero sympathy when I read about your broken bloody corpse smeared across the road after some other dip sh*t texting and driving hits you.

It's a matter of self preservation. I personally will not tempt fate by putting myself in between a concrete wall and dozens of speeding vehicles during morning rush hour or any other time for that matter.

As a rider myself I am well aware of the laws regarding cyclists rights where I live. I seriously doubt a L.E.O. would take the time to ticket a cyclist riding on the walkway in this particular scenario. If anything they should ticket the person impeding the flow of traffic. Or does that make too much sense?

Thanks for your opinion on a situation to which you were not witness though.

Victim blaming much? Cyclists are legally granted full rights to non-interstate roadways in most areas. They are legally allowed to take the full width of a lane, and not doing so is simply a courtesy.

You should be far more upset at the person who hits them.

If you want to play in traffic more power to ya.

Can't wait to read tomorrows daily list of cyclist fatalities. You know, because they were protected by law and made a safe decision to exercise there right to ride in traffic.

It's attitudes like yours that are part of the problem.

If you're concerned this much you should advocate for bike lanes.

Stores - please - lower your thermostats a little during cold weather!

People are already bundled up. We don't want to have to take off our coats to keep from burning up inside. Holding your big coat is no fun when you're trying to shop.

See it your way and I'll see it mine.

Just realize I am not the one who took issue with a 2 month old post.

As far as bike lanes, this town actually has a pretty good network. Doesn't mean they are always the safest path on which to ride.

This particular stretch is a bridge of approximately 400-500 feet in length and does not have a designated bike lane.

Again, thanks for your opinion.

People who don't use the grocery separator stick used to irk me.

A few times I reached over, grabbed two sticks, and while placing one after their order and mine, I told them I really appreciate them offering to pay for my groceries, but my upbringing demands I must respectively decline their generosity.

I don't do that any more though, as some people just forget to do it.

I'm mad because my Warmoth body is the ONE out of a hundred placed that month that got a month delay in addition to the estimated 10 weeks.

I'm also poody because it seems that I don't have good luck when it comes ordering things online.

I placed an order for a compressor and some strings and it says (waits 1-3 days to ship), ok, no problem. It's been a week. Nothing. I don't want to keep inquiring about my orders! Why can't I have a smooth transaction? :rollno::bawl::crying:
