A thread for with which to vent.

Today I was in a 45 mile an hour zone going about 48 & slowly passing the cars to my right.
Some dude in a muscle car gets right on my tail & he must have a manual transmission, because he keeps revving the engine. After the 3rd rev, I wasn't even thinking about getting over & actually slowed down to 45 mph.
There was a steady stream of cars to my right. I could have dipped in there in between a couple of them, but not after getting the tailgating tosser on my rear.

To the idiotic, self-destructive or possibly suicidal bicyclist riding in the car lane across the bridge during rush hour. Which, by the way, has zero space for anything but automobiles let alone a wobbly old bike rider.
-There is a perfectly safe and available walkway on the other side of the barrier separating you and the traffic. Use it. Otherwise eat pavement dip-s**t.

To the moron in the ending/merging lane.
-Physics has revealed some very compelling evidence that would seem to indicate that two objects can not occupy the same space at the same time. So, uh, get a clue. You don't have the f**king right of way a**hole. Especially when there is and had been a car already occupying the space immediately adjacent to you for several blocks. Stop f**king honking at me like a maniac and fall back in line dip-s**t.

Next time, make a move and get in the lane sooner.

Better yet, why don't you take your, gonna save the planet hybrid and weak ass little horn and take a long drive off a short pier. Oh, and don't forget your phone so you can periscope the pathetic last moments of existence among the conscious populous. Your no better than any other Oxygen soaked flesh sack roaming this planet. Go f**k yourself.

Disclaimer:
This is not directed at cyclists or hybrid owners in general. It is focused squarely on these two clueless morons.

I ride and I drive an economic low impact vehicle (not a hybrid) myself.

My rant today is about drivers that feel they need to swerve left in order to make a right turn. Or swerve right to make a left turn. You are not driving a freaking semi....just make your turn from your lane.....sheesh!

My problem is driver's who make right turns from their lanes. It's like none of them realize you are supposed to pull in tight with the curb, which involves getting out of the driving lane in many situations.

You know what else I hate? People who feel they get to dictate the flow of traffic and slow down fast moving traffic in the left lane. Somebody is always trying to prove a point instead of just doing some proper defensive driving and moving out of the way.

Just trying to offer some counterpoints. ;) :D

In many states is illegal to ride a bike on a walking path.

I can't stand "stupid" traffic lights!

I'm first in line on the off-ramp. I'm waiting for the light to turn green. A bunch of cars go by, then none. This light is notorious for being very slow to change. I counted sixteen seconds - SIX. TEEN. SECONDS. - before the next LONE car goes by. Another five seconds, and the light FINALLY turns green!!! NOT COOL!!!:rage: :banghead:

Stop breaking clearly posted, established rules, then acting innocent because your actions supposedly aren't insulting or otherwise hurting anybody. That's not up to you to decide.

If you feel that you have legitimate reasons for opposing a rule, then go through the proper channels to attempt to have it changed. But please don't insult everyone's intelligence by pleading ignorance. This goes for TalkBass and pretty much everywhere else.

Lots of inane posts on here.
But let's get to something that is really important to the destiny of mankind.

Why can't public golf courses have decent sand in their bunkers? You know somewhere between the usual of having to either hit out of sand like talcum powder or clay that's just two degrees firmer than hitting off a cart path.
It's not a lot to ask for, just the salvation of humanity.

You are complaining ? That's good!

The Dunkin Donuts counter is not the place to completely reorganize your purse and put things from this plastic bag into that plastic bag and to empty this plastic bag into your purse but not before you take this and that out of your purse and put it into the other plastic bag. It's 7:00 AM and there are a dozen people behind you that also want coffee. GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!
