A thread for with which to vent.

The Dunkin Donuts counter is not the place to completely reorganize your purse and put things from this plastic bag into that plastic bag and to empty this plastic bag into your purse but not before you take this and that out of your purse and put it into the other plastic bag. It's 7:00 AM and there are a dozen people behind you that also want coffee. GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!
Yep, goes for any sales register. Always some lady there, watching her purchases get checked, THEN, when it's all entered, THEN, she begins rummaging through the purse to find the wallet. She could have done that while the items were being checked! Apparently the Girl Guides never had the motto "Be Prepared".

Also, people that enter the store and STOP in their tracks, blocking the entrance to take a look around to plot the next move. ITS AN ENTRANCE STUPID, Move along and let people enter and exit!

Neighbor came over while I was installing my Hercules hangers. I was in just a pair of shorts & no shirt, but she didn't seem surprised when I answered the door, LOL.

Asked for some sugar. I told her all I keep in the house is brown sugar & she said that was fine.

So, I left her standing out there in the cold while I dumped a cup of brown sugar into her measuring cup.

When I get back she looked at it with a disappointing face & says "Don't you have any fine sugar?".

"That's all the sugar I have."

"Will this go well in tea?"

"I don't know, because I used it in curries."

I guess I should have asked if she wanted it, in case she was planning on just flushing it.

I wish now I had given her that box of sugar cubes I just remembered I have.

I really don't have anything to complain about. Life's pretty good.

I'm a little peeved at Palmetto State Armory for their slow shipping. I ordered an AR lower parts kit from them three full days before I ordered the upper from another company. The upper arrived yesterday. LPK due Monday.

Here's to the two incompetent f'ing do u he bags who decided work was a place devoted to power games over doing right by those who put their lives on the line for our freedom. It's been 5 years since I escaped and I still have trouble sleeping at night.

And here's to the moron who thought it was a good idea to put a history major in charge of complex system procurement. IDIOTS!

New knives/blades which arrive dull.

Often it's the more expensive MADE IN AMERICA by a big name company knives/blades that are the dullest.

OTOH, you can still get a MIA Buck folder for under $20 which will cut paper.

My brother thinks he's the Oracle or something.

I got a free iPhone 4 from my sister. It's an upgrade from my limping 3GS and throughout the week in family iMessage conversations, he would ask "What about the SIM?" and I'd reply "I'll just swap 'em like I always do." Then the next day, he would mention the SIM as though he had never swapped a SIM card between two phones. I'd mention again that my intent was to simply swap them.

Then one day, he said "Well, some people have managed to cut them down to fit." This is after a week of back and forth. I Google "iPhone 4 SIM card..." and find a video of some uppity guy in the UK describing how to install the SIM. It's a DIFFERENT SIZE SIM. Thanks bro.

Not asking the right question my @$$.

There's a movie on with Bob Crane, Werner Klemperer, and Elke Sommer.

Anytime I see Bob Crane I am reminded of his off-camera (on camera?) shenanigans, especially when he's co-starring with a zesty pop tart like Elke. I wonder if he dragged Klink into his extra curricular activities?

H O G A N ! !

My new neighbor came out today, first time I've gotten a look at him.
My first opinion is that he's part of what's wrong with young people today.

No shoes on, sock feet, walking on the sidewalk. Tattered jeans, that are way too long, are dragging the ground behind him. He's got his trash in one hand & watching his phone with the other.

I actually turned, as if to say hello, but he didn't even look up from his phone's screen.

Along with blocking aisles and stopping at the bottom of escalators:

PLEASE stop have conversations in doorways!!! It's easy enough to take your inane conversation off to the side and out of the way.

There was a time at work when I needed to carry several heavy boxes from one building to another. Two people were talking in the doorway where I was going in and out. Not that it needed mentioning, but I kindly asked the pair to move to the side because I would be going through that doorway several times with heavy boxes in my hands. They looked at me like I had a problem. Sure enough, when I came back, they were right there blocking the doorway, still yakking. This time, I wasn't so nice. I said, rather forcefully, "COMIN' THROUGH!!!" as I walked through the doorway at a very brisk pace. From that moment on, the doorway was clear.

Sorry if I already posted about this in this thread. I don't know how to find my own posts, and this is a very long thread!

There's a film about he & John Carpenter's mischievous activities, called Invalid Link Removed. Greg Kinnear portrays Bob & Willem Dafoe is Carpenter.
I enjoyed it quite a lot. Reminds me of some of my wilder times.

Yeah, inconsiderate behavior just becomes worse every year. People think they're all alone on this planet, or if they're not alone, they think everyone else is here to support them.

Okay, people who act, direct, or are any type of continuity "experts" in TV, film, or any other video production. We get it. You're stupid and have zero respect for viewers. But at least get the coffe cups right.

I'm tired of the way actors fling around coffee cups, the to-go kind with lids. We know it's a prop, but at least TRY to pretend its full of hot liquid. Nobody talks with a full coffee cup the way you do. If they did, everyone would be yelping in pain from the burns they would inflict on themselves and possibly bystanders. Knock it off.

If I was a director, you can bet if someone had trouble pretending to hold a cup of coffee, I'd fill the cup with something pretty caustic and they'd learn the lesson quick.
