Amazon has never let me down in the customer service department. They will make it right.

They've probably removed that seller's account if there have been multiple complaints.GC turned down the card. She did let Amazon know. Unless she is incorrect as to where she got the gift card. The salesperson at GC told me he's seen them a few times now, he asked me if it was obtained from Amazon.
I've had one known counterfeit from there - I'm usually fairly good at sussing out the good from the not so good. A few years ago I bought some Omeprazole (generic Prilosec) from there which had no effectiveness at all. After trying a few tablets with no improvement I ordered a better brand from a known seller and tossed those out.Counterfeit stuff can be bought on Amazon, but I don't think it's any more of a cesspool than the rest of the internet. (TalkBass is OK though)
That's not Amazon. That's a scammer who hopes you have bought something from Amazon so you will believe him when he makes that call. They might say they're from anywhere that's a popular place to purchase from. I get them calling and emailing telling me they are from PayPal but the way to handle any call or email like this is to hang up or delete the email and check your account online through a direct link (NOT A LINK IN THE EMAIL).I have never bought a thing from Scamazon and never will. About once a month I get a phone call from some idiot that barely speaks english telling me I owe them $1,200. They've tried to collect that amount of money from me for a couple of years. Good luck with that!
Never dreamed that I'd need popcorn for this thread.
Hey, maybe I can get them on Amazon.
I have little problems here and there, but they're minor and usually the return policies are good. I bought a pair of crutches for my bad sciatica days recently, that were sold as new but were clearly a repack with scratched up rubber pads at the bottom. I need them, and there's nothing wrong with them, but I left a 3 star review just to warn folks that this company is repacking as new. They weren't expensive.I've been buying from Amazon for years (sorry Target), no issues. Well, I think one set of Bose replacement ear bud silicone things were probably not genuine, but they worked better than the originals and were cheap.
I thought the topic was Amazon counterfeits and online scams. Silly me.I just want to know what happened on the gift card. Did it get resolved? Stay on topic people!
I'm 100% confident in my position here. Amazon does not condone the sale of counterfeit goods.
I'm not an Amazon insider, but let's just say I'm close enough to this to have an informed point of view.

I’m just especially aware of the SEC rules, legislation, and penalties for publicly traded companies trafficking counterfeit material, the downside of doing that, and how much energy companies devote to guarding against it.Sure, but there are plenty of counterfeit goods being sold on their platform. So technically they are helping sell counterfeit goods, even if not intentionally and even if they have a policy against it. You're just being stubborn on this one.
Just kidding broI thought the topic was Amazon counterfeits and online scams. Silly me.
Ouch.Well yes, the NYT does utilize some difficult vocabulary at times, so I see your struggle there.
He sensed I'm not a big fan of The NYT. I get it. Its cool. Why are you insulting him?
Hey. What's another word for "Thesaurus"?The broad brush shows you're not as astute as you think you are.
