Timmy found a green sparkle (four string) G-Bass on Craig's List and offered it to me. I haven't taken possession (or paid for it) yet. I'm really excited. It should be a really cool bass!

About this USA Peavey problem...

I've been buying MIA Peavey Basses for years now, I have 2 T-40s, a foundation, a dyna 5 string, and an Axcelerator 5 string. They're all amazing sounding and good playing, a couple of them have some paint damage, especially the dyna bass, it was my regular gigger for a couple years. I really want a fretless foundation, I had one years ago but I sold it. Anyone out there have one they want to sell or trade for one of mine?
That is a classy beauty right there.
Schaller Roller, EMG's, Black Hardware, Koa...some of my favorites all wrapped up in an awesome package.

Whoa! !!! It's a different bass than mine then. I would NEVER trade in a bass like that at GC unless the person I sold it to took it to GC
It seems to be the identical bass. The flame patterns match exactly. And how many Millenniums have block necks?
I bought it at GC on line from one of their stores in Colorado, if I remember correctly. I remember they had it priced at $399 with the hsc, and I used one of their perpetual 15% discount codes when I bought it. It cost me $375, tax and shipping included. When I opened up the case, I almost fainted it was so nice. I can't believe anyone would trade something like this to GC.
Oh man ! Whoever bought it from me must've not liked it. FYI, the block inlays are REAL block inlays custom done for $300

I have 2- a 79 T40 and a T20. I was THISCLOSE to getting a T45 just before Christmas but a couple of things got jammed up on me and I wasnt able to pull the trigger.
I still want a T45 to give me the 1st gen of US Peavey basses and then I'm after a super ferrite Foundation, a Dyna and a super ferrite fury.
Then it'll be a Sarzo and I'll be done....right???

Done? That's just the beginning. Once you get the ferrite Fury, you'll want the humbucker Fury. Of course if you have the ferrite Foundation, you'll need to acquire the p/j Foudation "S", which will lead to a B-90, which will lead you to the Unity Dyna Bass, which will lead you to a TL-5. Then you'll need an Axcelerator, which will lead to a Palaedium. And since you have a Sarzo, you'll need a Cirrus, followed by a Millennium.
The Cirrus is the top of the line of what you can (possibly) get right now. The top of the line ever was the B Quad 4 and 5. After that, my personal rating system would have the Cirrus and (U.S.) Millennium ranked equally, even though the Millennium was probably less expensive.

I have heard YES, the Cirrus USA model is discontinued due to the state of the economy. On their site the only one you can get new is the bolt on BXP version, I believe ...
BUT -
I also heard that they are going to reopen "the shop" and re-continue them.
I'm sure there is someone in the three stooges (Larry, Stu, and Timmy) who might have a more accurate answer.

I don't know anything for sure. I read somewhere on here something about them stopping production but you could still order a Cirrus from the Peavey Custom Shop. But, until somebody actually tries, I guess we'll all just be speculating.
I think Timmy is probably the most likely stooge to have actual inside info.
