Accidental Ray35!!!

I got mine on Thursday, the Honeyburst model. For the price I paid $519, I think this bass is absolutely incredible. I have played and owned US EBMM's in the past and the finish, setup and overall build quality on these is every bit as good as the US models. The only glaring difference I can see is that the maple neck is more blonde.. lighter than the American maple necks. Not a huge deal but these lighter maple necks seem to be common with the imports. Tone wise, it sounds Stingray all the way and maybe I'm completely mistaken but these seem to have a little more booty in the low end than the US models with the ceramic pickups. I wonder if these pickups are alnico magnets? If so, that is a definite advantage over the US models.

I'm going to play this at church this weekend and see how it sounds in a band mix but I've had US Stingrays before and they have always sat very well in the mix, unlike anything else I have ever played.
