I'll get some up no later than Saturday assuming my tech comes and fixes my desktop.![]()

It looks like it may be Wednesday until I can post pics. My desktop has a really nasty virus, and my tech cannot get it until Tuesday.
As for the Ray35, I have owned maybe 8 Stingrays, SUBs, and even an old Sabre, there is very little difference between a Sterling by Ernie Ball and a USA Ernie Ball. The feel is the same, and the tone is the same. I was playing show tunes, and old rock 'n roll last night, and it totally nailed the classic Bernard Edwards tone. This bass is solidly made; it were made in the USA, it would easily be $1,000+ street.
I think I have a really nice combo right now: Ray35 for rock & r&b, my Yamaha, however, totally nails that modern m idrange vibe that works so well in Gospel.![]()
Let me guess is that the antivirus live malware thing?
I got a virus that said I had to buy anti-virus software. It smelled like a rat, so I did not bite. I'll get my PC scrubbed tomorrow.
BTW, I a/b'ed my Ray35 (maple board) with a SR5 with a rosewood board. The SR5 had a slightly stronger bottom, but I suspect the small degree of variation suggests that a similar difference could be found among MIA SR5s, not just with Ray35s.
All in all, given the price, the Ray35 is a great value. At closeout prices, like I got, it is steal!![]()
That happend to me too. with my laptop and pc. I was able to remove it. By going to safemode and by removing it manually via instrictions in this link. check this out. This might help

Nexttime I'll just pm you. I think my message is too long
You can get the RAY35 for under $600 at Amazon ($586) and they are a licensed MM dealer so Musicians Friend and GC will pricematch plus 10% of the difference.
At 10pm last night I bid $475 with free shipping on a Black on Black Ray35 on ebay. No other bids and auction didn't end until 2:30am. Expected to be out-bid multiple times.
Won it. No other bids placed.
So I guess I can stop my search for a MM bridge pickup style bass. Heh.

Thanks. Visually I'd prefer a maple fretboard rather than rosewood, but maybe down the line I'll find someone who also wants the opposite. My main Regenerate Guitar Works bass has a birdseye fretboard so I guess the Rosewood on this will be a nice contrast.

I know I'm contradicting myself, but Stingray electronics are so powerful, the fingerboard material won't make a huge difference in tone.![]()
Some of us just dont like rosewood.
I planned on saving up for a Ray35, but I just cant do rosewood. There are certain basses on which I can, but this isnt one of em.
