How's the low B on that one? Looks like the upper strap button reaches the 11th fret... closer reach... I like that too !

First Recurve 5 string.
Top Amboyna Burl with a Black Limba body. 5 piece Wenge/Black Limba neck with an Acrylic Impregnated Ziracote board.

ACG SB single coil in the bridge switchable with a Hipshot Type A piezo bridge. RFB in the neck with coil switching.
East low battery indicator and 18 volt power.
Satin oil rubbed lacquer finish.

Beautiful, Alan. That amboyna burl top is amazing! And the finish shows it off nicely...

Seems like the RFB/SB/piezo pickup arrangement is becoming very popular, too.

That combo is becoming the most common with the piezo another 3 with that setup in the pipeline.

The Recurve shape looks so natural as a 5-string, I forgot that this is the first 5-string Recurve! It's definitely grown on me a lot, so I can picture this shape becoming more popular, as well. Me like!

I was down at Alan's the other night, had a look round at some of the "in progress" basses, yours in particular really stood out.
The Harlot body shape looks brilliant in a 5 with those big wide pickup routs for the RFBs and might I add, some very tasteful wood choices too.

It's going to be a peach

Looking forward to some closeups of your neck with the binding. Should be quite the highlight. And yeah, all progress shots are good.
