Just noticed that the Acme B2 Series III will be available around 6/1. I think I'd really like two of those for a vertical stack.

^^^ Yup. I have been a convert for a long time with my B2's, and I think a B1 is in order for me for doubling use as a stand alone for small gigs.

I use an Acoustic Image Clarus Series 4. I have a Low B-112 Full Range and I'm anxious to hear the B-1/B-112 pairing. Cosmetically they should be a nice match, both having Series III appointments.

I received my Acme B-1 Series III from Andy. I've only played it briefly but it has a lovely smooth tone. My initial impression is that it isn't as exaggerated in the highs and lows as my beloved Low B-112 Full Range, we'll see if that changes at all after break in.

The B-1 is a beautiful match with the B-112 Full Range now that they are both Series III (logo covered on the B-112).

I like the black tape on the 112 Even though the tape does not look that great great it still looks way better than the big B. I may have to cover mine up too. Not sure what Andy was thinking with that design.

My plan is to use flat black spray paint on both grilles. I know that may be a turnoff to some if I ever sell them, but I have no intention of parting with them any time soon so I'll worry about that some other time.

This not only looks awesome, it also makes me want to buy a Series III B1, even though I already own a Series II.

I don't mind the "B" logo so much...up close maybe, but in a backline it wouldn't bother me at all. Love to hear some gig reports with this setup!

I'm anxious as well. It turns out gigs this month aren't at venues where I'll really need that kind of volume, plus I'm just about to order a new G-K MB800 that I would prefer to use when I try it out. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity--and an appropriate venue--sometime in June.

Great review! Comparing the fullrange to other cabs was helpful to show that the fullrange accomplishes a nice balance of clarity and warmth. Great cabs and great review.
