I would have offered them something just for the enclosure. Problem is the seller probably thought he had something great with the Deltas onboard. Stuff like this breaks my heart.

If I had any inclination towards a DIY cab I might've. Those seem to be fine speakers otherwise. But I'm not really looking to go that route at the moment. For someone who likes to tinker it would probably be a good deal. It was something like $150.

I was thinking like $25 just for the box sans drivers...I'm sure the seller would have balked. You know what it is...I know what it is...someone will fork over the $150 thinking it's the real deal.

I believe Andy wants the "blown" or creased drivers back when he's selling you new ones. I may be mistaken, but I have a friend who went through plenty and if I recall correctly, he had to send the old ones back.

I called and they won't ship it, not even to another Music Go Round location. Oh well...guess I'll just keep doing my daily scouring of TB classifieds, Craigslist, etc. for my second Acme cab.

Ask them if they'll deliver it to the nearest FedEx Office store. If they will, contact FedEx Office to have them pack it and ship it to you. I once did that with an eBay amp that was Local Pickup Only and the seller agreed to drop it off after I paid for it.

my LOW B2 at 8 ohm with the fantastic precisionJV; I alternate TB 750-A, BASSBASE 600 and our LITTLE MARK vintage 1000, all I need is a DBX 160x and an HPF filter

I know I'm usually a bit late finding things out, and so I just discovered that the Acme cabs no longer have mid and tweeter controls (they now have fixed settings built in). Does anyone have direct experience with the new (fixed) version vs the older (adjustable) version, and can you give a comparison? How do they sound, and do you miss being able to adjust the mid and tweeter? I have a pair of B2's that I got in 2009, and I like being able to adjust the mid and tweeter, not sure if I'd like not being able to tweak those settings.
