My understanding has been that those cabs use special proprietary high excursion woofers, so I’ve always bought from the source (even though that “core charge” is a bummer).Hi guys. One of the woofers in my series 1 Acme B-2 is finally going out after 22 years! Amazing. Would you all recommend I buy from Acme (Andy was pretty surly with me on the phone...) or get Legend BP102-4s from Eminence (replacing both!)? Thank you!

I’d be open to a different source for woofers, but not if it compromises that addictive low end these cabs are so good at.
Andy's pricing for a replacement woofer is very reasonable. IIRC you ship the old one back to him.
I had to look-up "surly".

Does anyone have opinions about whether a GK MB Fusion 800 is enough to properly power two 8 ohm B-2 2x10s?
Yep 800 W at 4 ohms. Now I just need to find a second B-2...If the 800W is at 4Ω it should be fine as long as you listen for problems and turn down if needs be. Mine get up to 500W each but I never get that loud.
Stack them on their ends for a vertical 4x10.
I'm going to try the separate pre and power amp setup. Right now I only have one 8 ohm Low B-2 but I'll likely add a second in the future. Any recommendations for a good value power amp that could power the one for now but also be more than sufficient for powering a second cab in the future? I'd prefer something relatively light, and that doesn't have too much fan noise.
