Acoustic 360

I have one of these amps as you know, the jaco, JPJ, and Larry Graham amp.

I'm trying to make it easier to load into my 2000 camry. I was going to put metal strips on the edges from top to bottom so it slides against the metal when loading into my car instead of the wood.

I'm worried about having the nail/screw go through the wood and damage in the inside.

Does anybody have any thoughts?

Also, does any body know where to get padded amp cases for the acoutsic 360?

In addition, you may consider getting a large thick cardboard box, cut the seams and fold it flat and use it as a slider for you cab. No damage to cab or car if used properly. Also works for hauling up and down stairs. As an added bonus, if you do your own car oil changes etc, use it for a creeper too!

Ya, why hassle with installing stuff in your car when a piece of cardboard will suffice?...

+1

No need for a mod to your cabinet. Try this:

Get 2 large flattened corrugated cardboard boxes. Place them in the
vehicle on the cargo area floor in layers, one on top the other.

When you put a heavy cabinet on the top layer and push, the cabinet
will slide by riding on the top layer, while the bottom layer will stay in place.

It's funny that you talk about hauling around an amp that big in your car. I auditioned for a band that was to evenually get signed to RCA Records w/my Acoustic 360 stuffed into a 1977 Toyota Corolla. I drove 50 miles to the audition with the car leaning over to the right side of the road and they all helped me take it out and put it back in the car. LOL. Anyway, I loved that amp, got the gig and eventually the band invested into a huge carrier box truck. That was January 1979.:smug:

Here's a crazy idea. Install a couple of skate board wheels or cab casters inside the car, so the cab just rolls in.

Here's another crazy idea-drive the Camray up a ramp over the Acoustic 360 Speaker cab,set it down easy, bolt it down, tilt and roll...LOL :D ...(You're really gonna try and get that cab into a Camray trunk or backseat, and then back out again...all approximately 150 lbs of it???...LOL :D...or maybe you're one stong camray owner:smug:)...PS... (sorry ,I had to ;) )...Peace ...DAcat

I've been doing it for 2 years strong. Lol.

Hey Beanbass-Man you are strong... and persistant!! We always had a van and pulled a trailer when I toured with my Acoustics and We just rolled them up a ramp and left them standing up...Kudos to you man...I probably would have done whatever it took to get it to the gig and done the same thing in the day...you must love that amp(as I do)...Peace...DAcat
