Donkeys like carrots. So do horses. Finally, we have our smoking gun.
We spend more on handles and wheels and heat sinks than anyone.
I posted on Harmony Central one time...... I gave a beautiful, ( Completely Honest ) update on the new products.
A 40 year old pattent attorney in LA. cut me new A- HOLE. He only had 38,000 posts.
He didn't like the big print. He didn't like my miss speelllllings. He didn't like my marketing approach.
He will never buy my new amps........ LOL.
What marketing approach I just talked about the amp. WOW.
I'm not 40. I'm not in LA. I didn't cut you anything. I didn't have 38,000 posts. I wrote, "If you want to be taken seriously, don't write like bad spam copy. As it stands, you're doing more harm than good." I think that's a fair assessment here as well.
For anyone interested, the thread still exists: Invalid Link Removed.
Off topic, but I loved your "exploration of a JTM45" thread.
I'm not sure I understand why some people romanticize so much about things of the past. I had a 370 and it was okay for its day. It wasn't anything spectacular and when compared to many of the products on the market today it is mediocre at best.
The vintage craze can sometimes cloud our judgment. I think time has a way of erasing some of the unpleasant realities that exist with certain products. There was a reason why the Acoustic line folded and why so many players abandoned that line of equipment. It wasn't any thing spectacular.
Some of these things are sort of cool to look at, but that's really about it. Things have progressed and improvements have been made. Will this alleged line of new Acoustic products mirror anything in the way of innovation and enhanced performance, coupled with improved reliability and all the things today's consumers demand?
All we have heard to date are blurbs and tales, nothing tangible.
I sure hope this person understands the market and what it expects, and is prepared to meet or exceed consumer's expectations in the areas of quality, reliability, performance, cost, delivery, and all the features that this century demands. This ain't the 70's.
This endeavor sounds more like someone's personal hobby than it does a viable business. I don't expect we'll see much in the near future, and if we do, I suspect it will be short lived. The market and warehouses are full of products, all of which are going to be heavily discounted as they continue to pile up on the showroom floor.
