Acoustic USA 360 / 361

I filled out the information as best as I can remember with all of the equipment I have owned in the past and present and other info, so at least I'm trying. Where do you go to figure out how to find old posts you are looking for on this site without having to Jump through so many hoops? Mike

Anybody here who claims to have seen them.
Anybody can build a box and put an "Acoustic" sticker on it and pawn it off as the next great amp.
Amp on market - is all that matters.
Otherwise - having seen one doesn't mean they will ever be on the market. Many car, boat, motorcycle, ... prototypes never make the market no matter how many people see them.

In comparing Bass amps to studio gear, I made that statement because according to Russ Allee, commonly hailed as the "Godfather of Bass Amplification"

If I had a nickel for every time I read "Russ Allee, commonly hailed as the Godfather of Bass Amplification" I'd be able to afford the new 360/361.

I really hope this project comes to fruition. I love me some 360.
If the modern improvements include the cabs not being made of lead, sign me up.
I know how hard things can be George. My grandfather designed and built amps back in the day. It's not easy to get a line going.
I think one post (from you George) explaining the following would end this thread until the product hits the
market.

1. Why no *detailed closeup* pictures of the new *actual* amps?
2. (Similarly) Why no video?
3. Could you possibly predict a release date? (If so, what is it?)
4. Can you give us an idea of what they'll cost? (This may have been answered, but I read this whole thread in one fell swoop, could've missed it.)

I have been informed that blatantly and publicly being called a liar in this forum is simply a difference of “opinion”, and that I should defend and bolster my “point of view”. So here goes…

(Mods: I am not criticizing or disagreeing with your opinions or policies. I am simply following the course of action suggested.)

1. Yes, I am new to this forum. But if you look closely, you will find that all of my earliest posts were in the fEarful mega thread, which was why I registered here. You will also find that I only post when I have a question or feel I have something useful to add to the discussion.
2. I left most of my profile blank because none of the fields had anything to do with who I am or what I’ve done. How would anything I type there be any more credible than what I’ve typed in this thread?
3. This thread piqued my curiosity. Rather than joining the majority in useless bashing, I went to see George and examined his products and operation.
4. Foolishly thinking that members of this forum would appreciate knowing what I saw and heard, I posted a report.
5. Nowhere in that report did I “shill” for anyone or anything. In fact, George took issue with several of the comments I posted.
6. At no time did I “HYPE” any of the products. I offered to answer any specific questions and to give my opinion of the products. Only one member took me up on that offer. In keeping with his wishes, this was done in private. (For the record: Not everything I tested fits my personal tastes.)
7. This isn’t my first dance in a forum. I am quite aware that No Pic = No (whatever). I did not tour a factory. George’s “shop” is a former retail store with hundreds of items on shelves lining the walls. Why would I bother taking and posting pics of prototypes, experiments, and raw components scattered in a cluttered room, even if George had been agreeable?

After I tried to be helpful to the people reading this thread, someone posted that what I’ve written here “is all hogwash”. Therefore, you people can continue this discussion without me.

I hope you reconsider, and start taking some of these comments as being in a simply joking manner, as I have started to, after having my own buttons pushed. As for the folks genuinely interested in hearing some more information about what so far has been hush hush, I found an old thread under John Paul Jones Acoustic 360 that has a pic of one of the 410 cabinets I saw in person at Georges shop and will try to find more as time permits. My first bass amp was an original Acoustic 360, it served me well from 1975-81. What a great amp is was, I was to eventually sell it, but don't regret it.

I'm excited about the new USA Acoustic 360 and hope to have the opportunity to play thru one once again.

My friend Ron's 360/361. The cab had been carpeted and the blue panel painted black.

Sounded amazing. I hadn't played through one in over 35 years.
