Active or Passive DI?

Right, so that's any two-channel DI box. Easy as pie. Radial makes some of the best, start with them.

Bongo's on the money I expect. I personally would use active DI's for this as the advantage over a passive is clean headroom. I always put an active DI on keys for instance. Your pedals would get the same treatment were I doing your sound. The disadvantage is that you generally need phantom power on the channel. Not a big deal to me but some folks seem to freak out over phantom power...

Yes I think you're right, I think I will go down the Active route as you suggest. I like the look of the ART Dual X Direct Active DI Boxes, very reasonably priced as well.

I think they work on 9 volt DC and Phantom, our desk has Phantom anyway.
