adam clayton / aguilar?

Didn't Adam use Epifani cabs for a while???

U2 are playing a secret club date here in Boston on the 11th!
They will anounce where on the 9th! Would be great to see them in a small venue. Looks like they will do a Q&A as well.

The rig Adam is using in those shots is a DB 750 amplifier with a DB 410 cabinet and a DB 115 cabinet (both cabinets in Classic Black)

I saw them at Giants Stadium last week and while I didn't see any visible amps he dida have at least 8 DB square cabs. IMO DB410 cabs on top of what I think were DB115s cause I kind of saw them to be a little shorter than the top cabs.

Awesome production BTW.
Not such a great sound at least from my seats (which were very good). Bass very low in the mix as ALWAYS:rollno:

When I saw him in Boston, he was using two DB410+115 stacks. No heads on top, so that probably meant he was back to the Ashdowns. Great tone! That new "Buzzard" bass is ugly as sin, but sounds awesome. Gotta give it up for the gold flake P-bass, though.

From another thread, Dave from Aguilar made this comment...
Hey Guys,

Adam is using DB 750 heads with his DB 410 and DB 115 cabs.
Going to see them next week!

Best,

Dave B.

From the little bit I watched of the live-on-YouTube show last night, there were 4 - DB410+DB115 stacks on the stage behind Clayton. I'm not sure how much was going on between his amps and the broadcasted sound, but I thought his tone was excellent.

yeah i really dig his sound... but i dont think i have ever seen so many bass changes in a set.. i think the first 5 tunes there were 5 different basses.. must drive the FOH nuts... but each one did sound great and even... I even dig the few mistakes that he made.. very cool.
And i have never seen such a huge production and set at alive show,,,

My intarwebz connection at home is running a bit slowly, and I was having problems with the picture freezing frequently, but the 40 minutes of frustrating video I tolerated sounded really good.

I was extremely bummed that I didn't get tix (especially since it the concert was in my home town), but it turns out I have a raging cold right now, and I would have been miserable last night at the Rose Bowl.

After seeing the various awards shows, I noticed that Adam Clayton had some new amps. I was curious so I contacted Aguilar to find out what items of there's Adam was using and sent them off some pictures from the shows. Aguilar's response below:

The heads are kept with his tech off stage for easy adjustment.

**** Editors note: Adam has changed FROM the db750 TO the db751 model since the time of this original email.
