The issue here might be that in essence you are racist and can't accept the fact, that non native english speakers might not have the same command of the english language as you do?

How about we use la chanteuse from now on?

Plus, it really isn't going to solve your underlying problem. If you bring in a second vocalist, you'll wind up divvying up the lead vocals between them; each will have "her own" songs.

Not necessarily true. In my band, they are both expected to sing part of the other's repertoire IF need be. There are some songs which one of them really cannot handle and obviously the songs are divided to sound "the best" with one of the two. But it CAN be done. The deal is: both singers have to WANT it

I saw this attempted once, but only once.

The band went from one female singer and fairly steady work, to two female singers with the promise of unlimited work, to no band and no work....... All in the time space of a few months.

Not being able to make it ... well, I dunno ... you see, she caught a cold last week and it still lingered on this week. (tho it off course isn't bad enough to keep her away from work at any point)

Timely topic as I too have been thinking about adding a second chick.
Not a second singer, mind you -- just a second chick. Thoughts?
