Update… With thanks to crazyBassClown’s helpful pointer to the block diagram that shows the crossover (HPF) as being after the speaker, I pulled the stock jackplate for a closer look, and found two unused quickconnect tabs labelled “Woofer B”. After metering them to confirm they were indeed functional and in parallel with the existing speaker, I decided to try to tap in there. Works like a charm. I installed two Speakon connectors directly to the wood, to the left of the stock jackplate (there was a gap in the insulation there).
