AE212 Question

I didn't like my AE212 with my Streamliner 900 at all. It sounded wonderful with the Shuttle 9.0. In the end, I wasn't totally happy with the AE212 but it's a wonderful cab. I sold everything I own except for the new Shuttle 6.2/112 combo. It's much lighter and more portable than the AE212, and sounds much better to my ears since it has less low end being a single 112. It lets me run push the little 112 harder and have a tighter bass reponse which I like, without having to have all that upper end glass that I didn't care for in the AE212. For a bigger tone, a 2nd Genz 112 Shuttle cab gives me everything I need and still keeps the sounds tight.

FWIW - The new Genz Shuttle heads with the excellent LF Boost button works wonders for most all cabs that might sound a bit to big on the gig in the lows. The Genz heads have a tighter voicing when that filter is off. But if you want that full low-end extension, it's there to turn on. The Shuttle 9.0 with the AE212 sounded GREAT with the low filter OFF. The cab was too boomy with it on. You just have to find the right matchup with an amp.
