My small bass combo I use for small gigs and band practice died. I need to put together a solution for small gigs and practice that I can easily move around - I have a really bad back which will only get worse over time. I'm hoping to build a modular solution to keep costs down over time - a small and lightweight bass head and a lightweight cab that will complement my larger gig solution - which is a GK RB700-ii head with a GK Neo 212 cab - and which is too heavy to drag to practice four times a month or to the small monthly gig I have with one act right now Also - this way I have redundancy when parts die - I can always swap stuff with my larger rig in emergencies.
The trick - money is tight. I'm hoping to spend less than $650 for the head and cab combined. I'm hoping you folks can maybe recommend some off-brand solutions that I never see in the wild but come up used in Facebook and on the used sites of many resellers like Reverb or Guitar Center? Preferably Guitar Center - I have a credit there that will help pay for this.
For example - I've never seen Schroeder bass cabs in the wild - but I've heard great things!
BTW - The music and instruments I play - Electric and upright bass; all music from hard rock to classical on either one; Right now I'm gigging with both a classic rock group and a folk rock group. Also doing an occasional project with the upright featuring South-American jazz or South-American classical varieties. So - Clean tone preferred. Ampeg, Hartke and Peavey tested and don't work well with my upright so they are out.

No Markbass BTW - I love them new but I bought two used and both were dead within a week. That's why I'll try to buy the head from a retailer - I was able to return both. Markbass sounds great but after many posts eventually some dedicated Markbass user admits that you shouldn't but one used if its more than 10 years old.

Requirements:
- Lightweight cab - as much as possible. My back is getting real bad. Cabs under 35lbs preferred but must be under 45. Over 35 and I'll use a handtruck if needed.
- Cab must push some air. So - for 210 cabs vented are a must - I've used many sealed 210s in the past and they just don't push the low frequencies to the room.
- Preferably a 210 cab or a 115 cab. No 212 cabs please. Either will greatly complement my Neo 212 if I ever go full stack at a crazy-large gig.
- Cab - 8 ohms or switchable 4/8 ohms. No 4 ohms cabs please. I'd like to pair this with my Neo 212 in the future if possible.
- Cab watts - can handle 400 watts or more.
- Bass head - light weight - 200 watts minimum at 8 ohms.
