Maybe the lead guitarist just really wants to keep your current guy on bass and only add a singer? Either because he wants to keep the current group dynamic intact as much as possible, or because he wants to continue being the only one on guitar?
. . .
What do you guys think?

Did you check the guy's ID? Probably just turned down Jack Bruce.

Post fail.....
The people demanding the phone call over email are the same dorks that 10 years ago were crying when calls were made instead of face to face. Get over it, you do not own MY time and get no say in how much of it is used telling you it isn't going to work out.
Nothing shows a lack of class like pointing fingers at others and saying they have no class just because you are not getting your own petty way...
It went well. I really felt she was prepaired and talented and her friend on bass was rock solid, as the Drummer, I was easily able to get in lockstep on the songs and found him dead solid on the beginnings, endings and changes.
Turns out he's 64 but I swear you would never guess he's that old. He's got a hip look for a blues band and would look fine in our lineup.
) Born in 56 so he must have nothing left by now!
I can imply that people doing the above are dorks. I didn't call anyone in particular a dork, ....

Seriously. I'm all for being shallow, care a lot about audience age, and all that, but a 64-year-old drummer in a blues band is not a problem.i could dig age discrimination if it's a band of young 20 year olds looking to appeal to a young audience. but a blues band? get real!
I think you missed out on a good bassist with his chops together.
