Aguilar DB 316 Midrange EQ

I agree with the view that 180-1000 Hz range is not sufficient for this kind of device.

The range around 1,5kHz is important for me.

Broughton RFE (which I use) goes to 2kHz.
EWS BMC2 goes to 2,5kHz.
nanoPara from Sine Effects goes to 5kHz.
microPara from Sine Effects can go to 6kHz

Units from EWS and Sine Effects feature volume control. nanoPara and microPara feature Q control.

I think the Sine effects nanoPara is the way to go. I have one of his other filters and the quality is great. The nanoPar is cheaper, has a 50Hz-5kHz frequency range, gain and Q controls, and is the smallest pedal I’ve ever seen. I just ordered one, I’ll report back.

I recently acquired this pedal. In my metal band I swapped basses from a P bass to a Ric copy - the latter not having the P style elbows in the mids that push it forward. When I tried around with different settings on my pedalboard to make the bass sit well in the mix, I discovered that turning up the mids on my Tonehammer head did the trick perfectly. I don't play that head every time, so I wanted exactly that sound from my pedalboard.
Looking around, I quickly found the Aguilar pedal and instantly bought it. It does exactly what I wanted and I'm beyond happy with it.

My only criticism: The knobs move too easily.

There's also the JHS HAUNTING MIDS

400Hz to 7.5kHz, +/- 15dB boost or cut
and the Q is switchable (LO-gentle broad, HI-peaking tight)
